North Little Rock
North Little Rock is a local government city in Arkansas, USA. Population: 62,304 (2010 census). Located on the Arkansas River, across from the capital of Little Rock.

History
In 1866 the Argenten settlement was founded here. In 1890, Argenta, not included in the list of cities, became part of Little Rock. In 1901, Argenta was granted the status of North Little Rock, in 1903, by the decision of the Supreme Court of Arkansas, including the territory of Argenta. Originally called Argenta, the city was renamed North Little Rock by 1917.
The city hall was built in 1914, and there are still signs on it, on which the city is called Argenta.
The historical center of the former Argenta was registered in 1993 in the National Register of Historical Places under the number 9300094. The mayor's office and the North Little Rock post office are also on the register.
Transport
The city is located on the left bank of the Arkansas River.
In North Little Rock, the I-30, which connects to US 167, departs south-west from the I-40 interstate motorway.
In addition to the I-30 North Little Rock Bridge and Little Rock Bridge, three rail bridges are connected, as well as the US 67/US 70 and Main Street motor bridges. To the east is the I-440 bridge, the auxiliary road that runs through these cities.
Demographics
According to the 2010 census, 62,304 people lived in North Little Rock. In 2000, the figure was 60,700.
In 2010, the population of the city was divided as follows: 54.02% white, 39.73% African-Americans, 0.39% Native Americans, 0.94% Mongoloids, 2.14% or Hispanics of any race, 5.71%.
City Management
The elected officials of North Little Rock are the mayor, the city council is made up of members of the city council (in total eight, two from each of the four districts), the city clerk/treasurer, the city prosecutor and two judges. The list is supplemented by a number of councils and commissions composed of city authorities and residents.
Police
The North Little Rock Police Department has been granted permission to operate UAVs. The department has been working with a small unmanned helicopter since 2008. Because of public-police relations, crime has decreased greatly since the 2010’s, especially patrol leader Tommy Norman.
Fire Service
In addition to the fire and ambulance calls, the North Little Rock Fire Department is responding to calls to its Special Operations Response Team, Hazardous Substances Response Team and the Arkansas River Rescue Service.
